THE TRUFFLE
Its
use, its fragrance and unusual growth gave rise to many legends about its
creation and its effects. Plutarch
suggested that it was the result of the combination of heat, lightning and
water. This
hypothesis was also supported by Juvenal which attributed its origin to the
legend that Zeus threw a lightning strike at the roots of an oak, giving rise to
truffles. Pliny
called it the "call of the earth." I
Pythagoras and Galen claimed aphrodisiac properties, and dedicated to Aphrodite
(Venus), goddess of love. It will
be just a legend? It
would appear not, in fact, the latest scientific studies reveal that it contains
within it a fair amount of pheromone, a substance similar to testosterone.
A test? In
the U.S. the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1976, Saul Bellow, has experienced
the joy of becoming a father to the incredible age of 84 years. Bellow
has revealed as "a splendid feast of truffles with the scent of sex."
Did
you ever taste the truffle and they know exactly define the flavor? Why? There
is a fifth taste, umami, discovered in 1908 by chemist Ikeda in Japan in 1985
and has been recognized as an independent style, embodied by the full truffles
and mushrooms. They
are the pure essence of umami: intense flavor, aroma wrap, taste almost
magical.

forgot a love of youth '.Regretted
that he never understood what was hiding behind people she saw every day, the
man began 'to cry.She
cried so 'much that her tears were scattered on the bush to which he had
supported.And

Inez.On
the evening of Christmas Eve wanted to bring a flower to the Infant Jesus, but
he had no money to buy it. He
walked down the street without knowing what to do, then decided to collect twigs
from a bush seen by chance in the ruins of a church. After
being collected thought to embellish the bouquet with the only nice thing he
owned: a red ribbon for hair. He
arrived at the church that now it was dark and Ines thought not to find anyone.
Once in front
of the Child Jesus, put down her bouquet. Immediately
after putting it near the statue, he heard voices behind him: people were
surprised and intrigued by the beautiful flower of Ines, so they asked him where
he found a flower so beautiful.Inez
turned to her bouquet and incredulous, he saw that the green leaves of the bush
were colored in red and gold berries in the center had taken the shape of a
heart.Ines
